Who is Outback NSW Tourism? The Outback NSW Regional Tourism Organisation (ORTO) was formed by Tourism New South Wales in 1992 as one of the Regional Tourism Groups of NSW. It is a not-for-profit organisation keyed with the responsibility of working with key tourism industry players in the region and promoting Outback NSW to potential tourists for the economic benefit of the area.
ORTO’s structure is membership based with an industry led Board and is an Incorporated Association. Members include anyone in the tourism industry which has a vested interest in the Outback area’s capacity to increase tourism visitation and expenditure.

Discover Downunder has recently filmed Broken Hill, Menindee Lakes, Bindara, Pooncarie, Mungo and Wentworth for the Darling River Run campaign. This will go to air in capital cities on Saturday 16th May at 3:30pm EST.
