Membership Options

TIMEFRAME of Membership

Membership to Outback NSW Tourism is by a Financial Year calendar.
In some cases members may join outside the usual July start of the financial year. Hence the below table enables potential members to understand the fee required at the time of joining.

  • June – Dec Full membership payable
  • Jan – May 65% of membership payable
  • June Next years membership is invoiced plus 10% for June

Membership Levels

Government & Assocations

Council Membership $3,300 pa (ex GST)

Once a council joins Outback NSW Tourism they will receive the following benefits;

  • Tourism Operator Development activities as conducted by Outback NSW Tourism can be bidded for by the council area
  • Outback NSW Tourism will assist in the promotion of community events in council area, even if the events are not members of Outback NSW Tourism in their own right.
  • Inclusion of council assets in promotions where applicable; parks, gardens, facilities, conference space etc.
  • First opportunity to participate in marketing activities with Outback NSW Tourism partners; Tourism NSW, Events NSW, Tourism Australia and other key partners.
  • Access to all research/statistics that Outback NSW Tourism has on the tourism industry.
  • Council area has the opportunity to bid for the Symposium on a rotation basis with other council members.
  • Access to www.corporate.visitoutbacknsw.com.au industry website
  • One nominated person to receive the Regular E-newsletter & Hot News items.
  • Two FREE tickets to the Outback NSW Tourism Symposium.
  • Receive one vote on the Outback NSW Board, representing that area’s interests on the board.
  • Link to Council nominated website for tourism off both www.visitoutbacknsw.com.au & www.darlingriverrun.com.au on relevant pages.

Association Membership $ 330 pa (ex GST)

This level of membership is only available for incorporated associations and not for profit associations that have a membership structure for their organisation. This level provides benefits that can be passed onto the association’s membership.

  • Public Relations assistance for any events organised by the association that are open to the public.
  • Inclusion in Outback NSW Newsletter of any industry events organised by the association that are open to other regional businesses.
  • Second Membership Category to receive the E-Newsletter.
  • Second Membership Category to receive HOT NEWS items.
  • Two FREE Tickets to the Outback NSW Tourism Symposium.
  • Invitation for any of the Association’s members/staff to attend Outback NSW events at members’ rate. (All bookings need to come through the Association to ensure they are current financial members of the association).
  • Access to Executive Officer for one meeting a year to present to members on tourism or relevant topic or to facilitate a planning session.
  • Representative able to join a relevant ‘task force’ or ‘project team’
  • Link to nominated website for membership and tourism promotion off both www.visitoutbacknsw.com.au & www.darlingriverrun.com.au on relevant pages.

Business

** The following levels are for businesses in tourism that have an interest in Outback NSW promotion and tourism development;

Gold Membership $1,200 pa (ex GST)

  • Public Relations assistance for any in-house events that the member has for the public.
  • Automatic inclusion in Ad-hock Promotional Opportunities.
  • First opportunity to participate in co-operative marketing activities.
  • First opportunity to bid for hosting internal events.
  • Access to the corporate Outback NSW website.
  • Assistance with updating STDW / ATDW entry for exposure on www.australia.com, www.visitnsw.com.au, www.sydneyaustralia.com
  • First category to receive the Outback Tourism E-Newsletter.
  • First category to receive Outback Tourism HOT NEWS items.
  • Two FREE tickets to the Outback NSW Tourism Symposium.
  • Discounted tickets to any Outback NSW Tourism industry event.
  • A link on all Consumer/Media Newsletters to nominated website as a “Strategic Partner”.
  • Access to all research / statistics that Outback NSW Tourism has on the tourism industry.
  • Proof Reading Assistance of Award Submissions – min 5 days notice required.
  • Link to nominated website off both www.visitoutbacknsw.com.au & www.darlingriverrun.com.au on relevant pages.

Silver Membership $ 500 pa (ex GST)

  • Access to the corporate Outback NSW website.
  • Public Relations assistance for any event that the member hosts for the public.
  • Offer of inclusion in Ad-hock Promotional Opportunities (require response).
  • Assistance with updating STDW / ATDW entry for exposure on www.australia.com, www.visitnsw.com.au, www.sydneyaustralia.com
  • Second opportunity to participate in co-operative marketing activities.
  • Second opportunity to bid for hosting internal Outback NSW events.
  • Second category to receive the Outback NSW E-Newsletter.
  • Second category to receive Outback NSW HOT NEWS items.
  • One FREE tickets to the Outback NSW Tourism Symposium.
  • Member prices for tickets to any Outback NSW industry event.

Bronze Membership $ 280 pa (ex GST)

  • Access to the corporate Outback NSW website.
  • Third category to receive the E-Newsletter. (Approx 24hrs after first category receives the newsletter)
  • Third category to receive HOT NEWS items. (Approx 24hrs after first category receives the newsletter)
  • Member prices for tickets to any Outback NSW industry event.
  • Link to nominated website off www.visitoutbacknsw.com.au from Members page.
